“I’ve lost five stone”

British Military Fitness has transformed me - It’s changed how I view myself, it’s given me self confidence. My daughter has also started BMF and the change in her is massive too.

I got bored doing other exercise classes indoors. I like to  be outside and British Military Fitness sessions have managed to keep my interest. Two classes are never the same, so you can never get bored.

The people you go to BMF with become your pals. We run together and support each other. Seeing each other’s progress is inspiring and I’ve met some amazing friends. I love the instructors. We’ve got a mix of male and female instructors and they are all so encouraging and make me believe that I can do it and it’s achievable. They’re great at pushing you, without making it disheartening. It’s tough but enjoyable.

Since being at BMF, I’ve lost five stone - I’m so thankful I joined. I’ve gone from someone who couldn’t run, to doing a triathlon. I would never have imagined that was possible.

"I’ve lost 10kg"

I was active already before I joined BMF. I used to do Kung-Fu for two hours a week, but found it increasingly difficult to train on my own. What appealed to me about British Military Fitness was the idea of an outdoor group class, rather than being couped up in a gym. The BMF instructors are so knowledgeable. They know how to motivate each individual, as well as the group as a whole. They make every session as fun as possible, especially through the winter months. I particularly enjoy the banter and competition in our bib groups. It means we all motivate each other to work harder.

Before joining BMF, I didn’t enjoy running but since joining I have completed mud runs and obstacle races ranging from 5km to 20 miles. But, maybe one of the most noticeable changes has been that I’ve lost about 10kg.
