Matt Culling
Owner and Trainer
Matt has been a member of BMF for a number of years. He has served a total of 15 years in the Regular Army, Territorial Army and Reserves. Matt has just currently finished serving in the full time regular army in the MPGS Military Provost Guard Service. He was a Lance Corporal Combat Medic in the Royal Medical Corp, and in the regular army he was a Lance Bombardier of the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery where he was a Mounted Gunner. There Matt was involved in many State Visits and Ceremonial Duties as well as equine competitions, including Showjumping. Matt has serviced on operational tours of Northern Ireland with 2 Para and the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards in 1999. After leaving the military he joined the Ministry of Defence Police as an Authorised Firearms Officer. He has been an instructor as a National Firearms Instructor, Operational Bronze Commander, Public Order Instructor, Metropolitan Police Trained Public Order Medic, Rope Access Instructor, First Aid, Medical Instructor, Drill Instructor and Police Fitness Instructor where he gained his fitness qualifications. Later on, he became a Level 5 Police National Trainer from Police Scotland, as well as achieving the rank of Police Sergeant. He has been involved in many National Police Operations throughout the UK with Home Office colleagues over his 19-year career. He now currently works splitting his time working as a full time trainer for St Johns Ambulance as well as running the BMF Parks that he owns and operates. Matt has made a career in developing peoples skills and training others. "I firmly believe people of all levels should have the opportunity to exercise and to be able to achieve their individual goals. I like to do this in a friendly and fun environment and I am passionate about inclusivity, which is why I love the BMF brand and ethos. I want to help members through their fitness achievements and impart my knowledge. My aim is to help people become fitter, stay fitter to help them maintain a level of fitness that they can keep healthy in their outside hobbies and their work environment." Matt still competes at Showjumping at National and local competitions and at Arena UK and Hickstead for Forces Equine.
