Well it’s been a busy year so far and I realised that I hadn’t posted a blog to you all in a while!
2011 has been busy…we’ve welcomed over 7,000 new members to our outdoor bootcamps over the last 8 months and of course there are the members that have been with us for a while now, thank you for your continued support. Although the weather wasn’t great over the summer we have seen some great attendance figures so well done to you all that trained with us, rain or shine!
We opened 14 new venues between March and June and they all seem to be growing nicely so well done to our Park Managers and instructors in those parks. As you all know, our instructors have done a great job this year, constantly providing new and challenging fitness classes for you in the park.
Winter is now fast approaching and the winter timetable for your park is now visible on our website. Thank you for all your feedback during the timetable consultation period and I hope you agree that being involved in this process allowed us to make the right decisions at your parks.
September is already looking eventful, we’ve recently set up a partnership with [LINK "http://www.britmilfit.com/about-bmf/bmf-news/trees-for-members-at-british-military-fitness/" "Trees for Cities"] to donate a tree for every new member that signs up during this month. You know how strongly I feel about giving something back to the local community and this is a fantastic project to support. We will even have the opportunity to plant some of the trees in October so make sure you grab your shovels and join me on the planting days!
BMF Events will be holding their first [LINK "http://www.sunfit.co.uk" "Sunfit"] holiday next week and we will keep you posted on how it goes and hopefully we will see some of you joining us early next year. Don’t forget that the [LINK "http://www.majorseries.com" "Major Series"] is running in October. The 10Ks are such great challenges and this year we have a new look and feel so it will be a very exciting series of events.
Well that’s all from me…I will be doing more park visits during October and November so make sure you look out for me during your outdoor bootcamps.
Keep up the good training and see you in the park soon!
Robin.
