The Franchise Recruitment Manager is responsible for all aspects of the franchise marketing, recruitment and sales process and thereby plays a critical role in driving initial fee revenue and franchise network growth. The role involves taking responsibility and being ultimately accountable for the careful selection and recruitment of new Franchisees and Master Franchisees into the network. This role is critical to our strategy for achieving ambitious expansion, domestically and internationally, and requires close liaison with the Franchise Network Manager and members of the Board and executive team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To develop a strategy for seeking out and attracting high calibre franchise prospects
  • To achieve franchise sales in line with annual budgets
  • To work with the Operations Director, Head of Marketing and the Board to develop new business opportunities both in the UK and internationally
  • To manage the sales process for all products in all territories supporting Master Franchisees to achieve agreed franchise recruitment targets
  • To present franchise business opportunities as a positive, exciting and realistic proposition
  • To actively manage business leads and convert opportunities into franchise sales
  • To develop an objective selection process that recruits the most suitable & competent people
  • To make sound judgements in the selection process that result in successful franchisees
  • To operate a selection process that constantly complies with legislation and in line with the BFA code of conduct
  • To develop a robust recruitment and selection process that is consistently applied group wide and present creditable candidates to the Approvals Committee.
  • To work closely with external partners to deliver a recruitment process that works seamlessly
  • To organise and manage Discovery Days with the support of other team colleagues
  • To manage the recruitment administrative process and systems accurately and efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management

- Generate sales by proactively creating and relentlessly chasing up leads

- Create informative and engaging presentations of the BMF franchise opportunities

- Present comprehensive and powerful business case studies to prospective franchisees

- Deliver strong sales pitches that influence audiences positively

- Consistently convert business leads into sales

Business development

- Develop an annual plan to support the achievement of agreed budgets

- Actively support Master Franchisees to recruit new franchisees in line with agreed targets

- Organise events and activities to promote the BMF business

- Build relationships both inside and outside the network to cultivate new business

Recruitment and Selection

- Develop a recruitment strategy to attract the best talent to the BMF franchise

- Design a criteria-based selection process that identifies the key attributes of strong franchisees

- Operate a robust selection process to ensures the recruitment of capable franchisees

- Evaluate the effectiveness of selection methods and continually improve the process and systems

- Liaise with operations to recruit franchisees for re-sale opportunities

Process control

- Continually monitor and improve systems to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently

- Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of all administration relating to franchise recruitment

General Responsibilities

- Continually monitor and improve systems to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently

- Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of all administration relating to franchise recruitment

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 year’s sales management experience
  • Franchise requirement and business development experience
  • Knowledge of general franchising processes and systems
  • Able to manage your time effectively and be exceptionally well organised, whilst always maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.

Desirable Capabilities:

  • Business Marketing Degree
  • CIM Level 5
  • General knowledge of the health and fitness sector
